The pillars will be painted by various artists and as part of workshops by Neustadt residents and civil society actors in the district. A uniform color concept forms the creative bracket, while the choice of motif and style on the respective pillar is free. The title \u201c48 Pillars of Society\u201d invites all participants to address the question of what sustains us as a society in a place of urban transformation and social change and thus forms the curatorial theme of the art festival. The festival also offers an exciting program with workshops and the ceremonial inauguration of the new artwork.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Neust\u00e4dter Passage is the center of the formerly independent city of Halle-Neustadt and lies at the foot of the five characteristic Scheiben high-rise buildings. With its two levels for pedestrians and bridges, the passage forms a highly interesting urban and architectural complex and is at the same time characterized by the social and urban changes of recent decades. With the artistic redesign of all the pillars in the Neust\u00e4dter Passage, a unique cooperative Gesamtkunstwerk will be created for the center of Halle-Neustadt as part of the festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c48 S\u00e4ulen der Gesellschaft &#8211; Ein kooperatives Kunstfestival f\u00fcr 60 Jahre Halle-Neustadt\u201d is an art project by Freiraumgalerie &#8211; Kollektiv f\u00fcr Raumentwicklung, sponsored by Wall &amp; Space e.V.
